Our Vision

Our vision is a world where women do not live in poverty. We strive for a world where all women are financially independent, are treated with dignity and respect and are directly impacting their lives and those of their families. We aspire to a world that fully harnesses the power of women and recognizes their role in economic sustainability.

Our Mission

Dress for Success Arizona empowers women to achieve economic mobility by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools needed to help women thrive in work and in life.

We provide each client with professional attire to secure employment, however we are about much more than simply a new outfit. In addition to equipping the client with apparel and accessories, our extensive job readiness and career training furnish her with a confidence that she carries forever with the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her.

Dress for Success Arizona is an affiliate of Dress for Success Worldwide, which is a global nonprofit organization that began operations in 1997.

Tamala McBath

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of Dress for Success Phoenix, Tamala McBath is responsible for guiding the organization’s mission of empowering women to achieve financial independence through education, support and viable employment.

Before joining Dress for Success Phoenix, Tamala had an accomplished national career in healthcare operations and business consulting, including endeavors building two successful businesses from the ground up.

Since joining Dress for Success Phoenix in 2021, Tamala has become a fixture in the community, having volunteered her time to serve on both the City of Phoenix’s Human Services Commission and its Community Development Review Committee. Tamala has also been profiled by numerous major local media outlets such as the Phoenix Business Journal, FOX10 and ABC15, as well as nationally on CBS News. In 2022 she was recognized as a member of the prestigious “Great 48” by Phoenix Magazine. Most recently, she was named an “Outstanding Woman in Business” by the Phoenix Business Journal.

Tamala graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work and she recently completed her executive master’s degree at Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is also a member of the 2022 cohort of Arizona State University’s Knowledge Exchange for Resilience (KER) Fellow Program.

Pat Torres

Boutique Manager

Pat has over 34 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Her passion for Dress for Success Phoenix began in 2013 when she met Lisa Doromal, Founder of Dress for Success Phoenix at a baseball field where their boys played club baseball on the same team. Lisa invited Pat to volunteer at the annual Suit for the Stars Gala and yearly sale at the boutique. This is where Pat was inspired by Lisa, her team, and the mission to empower women.

Pat is currently the Boutique Manager at Dress for Success Phoenix and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing client scheduling, as well as training, scheduling, and managing volunteers. She also works with over 140 different referral agencies to educate staff and promote Dress for Success Phoenix.
