Leadership, service to others, and the determination to succeed in business are some of the qualities that have defined the life and career of Tamala McBath. Born in Maryville, Tennessee, her journey took her to Arizona at the age of 12, where she spent her formative years and attended Phoenix Christian Preparatory School. Following a successful national career in healthcare operations and business consulting, Tamala has returned to the city that she calls home as CEO of Dress for Success Phoenix.
Tamala believes strongly in the power of mentoring and coaching through processes that help individuals achieve and leverage self-awareness, and that the alignment of personal gifts and purpose leads to sustainable success. It has been her lifelong mission to empower women to achieve financial independence through education, support, and viable employment.
Tamala graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work and she is currently completing her executive master’s degree in Global Management at Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School.
At a very early age, Heidi realized that she has a passion for service to others. As she grew older, that passion for service became a call to action with various organizations, primarily focused on helping women and children. Heidi volunteered with CASA in Springfield, MO as an advocate for abused and neglected children. When she moved to Phoenix, she spent time as a Tumbleweeds volunteer and taught citizenship classes with the International Rescue Committee before becoming the Director of Operations at Dress for Success Phoenix. Heidi is currently a member of Voices of the Desert, which supports the LGBTQA+ community.
Heidi’s professional career began with FedEx Express, where she spent 10 years in operations and logistics. From there, Heidi began a 12-year career with Coca-Cola in operations management, strategic planning management and business services. In the three years following her time with Coca-Cola, she realized a life-long dream and was the chef/owner of an Irish Pub located in Phoenix, Arizona. Heidi received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is pursuing her M.B.A.
